Civil Defence says worst to come

It was business as usual today for most of the West Coast, which has not seen the deluge and flooding that some had feared, although South Westland has had bouts of heavy rain.
West Coast Emergency Management said at noon that rivers were rising in South Westland, and the worst was to come.
