Three youths have been charged with firearms offences after a pet goat was shot and an outhouse shot up at a remote hut near Tuatapere in Southland.
On June 17, police received reports of men in a utility vehicle shooting a goat in the Rowallan area and had also fired shots near another hut.
Yesterday, police executed search warrants at three addresses in Riverton and located firearms.
Three 17-year-olds were arrested in relation to the shooting incidents and will appear in the Invercargill District Court next week, police say. NZN
