The search for Christchurch man Michael McGrath, who has been missing since May, is entering another phase, police say.
The new phase starting today will focus on areas across the city, including Ellesmere, Lincoln and Halswell.
Detective Inspector Darryl Sweeney said the locations were based on information and sightings collected during the investigation.
He said the goal was to gather evidence in relation to Mr McGrath’s disappearance on or about May 21.
A team is also continuing a large-scale search of Kate Valley Landfill for further items of interest and is expected to be there for another few weeks.
Police staff have been at the landfill since mid-June and have gone through about 2000 tonnes of rubbish.
Mr McGrath, a 49-year-old builder, was last seen at his Halswell home and his disappearance has been described as out of character. NZN
