The 23-year-old was granted interim name suppression until her next appearance at the Hamilton High Court on June 27.
The shooting occurred at a Seddon Road property, opposite Seddon Park, about 8pm on May 30, after she and the man had allegedly been drinking all day.
The man shot, named as Rhys Gordon Williamson, a 39-year-old from Hamilton, was the woman’s lifelong friend.
She was also charged with other firearm-related offences.
Police also have an arrest warrant out for 39-year-old Anthony Brett Clegg, who was allegedly in the house at the time of the shooting. NZN
