Two bodies have been found during the search for an uncle and nephew who went missing from Rotorua more than a week ago.
Police have been searching for Raymond Fleet, 51, and James Fleet, 25, whose disappearance has been described as completely out of character.
Detective senior sergeant Mark van Kempen says the bodies were found in the Mamaku Forest.
While the bodies still had to be formally identified, police believed they were those of the missing men.
Mr van Kempen said the deaths
were being treated as suspicious, and
a scene examination would continue today.
James Fleet was last seen about 6.30pm on August 7 when he left his grandmother’s house, where he was living. His uncle went missing around the same time. NZN
