A light plane crash at Queenstown Airport this morning may be due to engine failure, the Civil Aviation Authority says.
Senior communications adviser Philippa Lagan confirmed a Cessna 177 made an emergency landing at Queenstown Airport off runway 5.
“It appears that after taking off the aircraft experienced engine failure.
“A pilot and three passengers were on board. The front seat passenger has suffered an ankle injury and has been taken to hospital. The others are uninjured.” Otago Daily Times
