45s players scarce

Nominations are again only trickling in for the DB Draught New Zealand 45s Championships, to be played at the Greymouth Workingmen’s Club, on Saturday. Organiser Ian Innes said at this rate registrations would be fewer than the 56 pairs who took part in 2009 event, won by Tony Mahuika and Brad Scott.
“Hopefully the mailbag will contain a good number of entries today and tomorrow, and we will also accept late nominations until noon on Saturday,” Mr Innes said.
