Denniston history comes alive
Cam Jones and Tony Thrupp, from the Department of Conservation, build a new viewing platform at Denniston, the historic mining town which will soon boast a new underground tourist train.
Upon completion, the platform will offer spectacular views of the famous Denniston Incline and a panoramic view of the coastline.
The upgraded historic site includes a new sealed access road, car park facilities, amenities, information centre and new walking tracks.
Work is on track to meet the opening date of December 4, which will see the first run of the Denniston Heritage Railway and Mine Experience.
