Orange Homes West Coast Ltd, won the new homes $350,000 to $450,000 category. Other accolades included the bathroom, kitchen and outdoor living area of the year. The home impressed the competition judges with its use of Coloursteel iron, Linea weatherboards and natural grey stone. Chris Yeats Builders, based at Gladstone, also won a commercial gold award for their work on the Westport Early Learning Centre, which was named the top commercial project for 2010. The Westport facility required the development of a completely new building and pleased the judges with its curved roof, ceiling and careful detailing.
