McEwen of f to Commonwealth Games

West Coast boxer Nathan McEwen has been confirmed to represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games. Although the New Zealand team has not been officially announced, McEwen said his selection had been confirmed. The 21-year-old Blackball coal miner was today training at Victoria Park, Greymouth. “The Commonwealth Games has been the goal over these years,” he said. The New Zealand team will be officially announced tomorrow. The games open in New Delhi on October 3.
