West Coast movies on screen

In association with NZ On Screen, the Greymouth Star is now bringing old West Coast footage to a computer near you.
The clips hark back to an earlier day where television shows aired at a particular time and were carefully curated.
NZ On Screen is a non-commercial, and free, on-line showcase of New Zealand television, film, music video and web series. The thousands of titles, range from music videos to current affairs to documentaries. It goes back to the early days of pictorial parades, and very old coverage from New Zealand.
Highlights are on our website now, www.greystar.co.nz including Descent from Disaster (the 1967 Strongman mine disaster), Bad Blood (1941 manhunt for Stanley Graham), This Town (interviews with Coasters), Barefoot Cinema (Blacks Point cinematographer Alun Bollinger) and the Cave Creek disaster.
Watch out for more videos to be added in the coming months.

Visit www.nzonscreen.com for more videos from the rest of New Zealand.
