Posters to tell Greymouth stories

Graphic artist Aldous Kelly wheat pastes a poster with a historic image of the Runanga Miners’ Hall, as the first of a series of
mostly oversized posters that will be
popping up around Greymouth as part of the Grey District Council’s ‘Real Stories’ campaign. The campaign invites residents to share their stories about Greymouth to promote and portray the town in a positive light and encourage local pride. Posters are due to be put up outside the council
chambers, but an opportunist vandal last night took advantage of the blank canvas to leave obscene graffiti scrawled across the three boards.
