Greymouth hockey player Genevieve Macilquham had more game time in the Junior Black Sticks match against Australia, at the junior World Cup in Germany.
In a nail-biter that New Zealand had to win to progress through to the quarter-finals, New Zealand had to settle for a 3-3 draw.
In true trans-Tasman style, it was a competitive game, with both sides creating their fair share of opportunities. At the break the scores were locked at 1-1.
Next up for New Zealand, who finished third in their pool, will now play for ninth place against Belguim.
